Kusatsu City Aquatic Botanical Garden Mizu no Mori

Located on the Karasuma Peninsula by the shores of Lake Biwa, a treasure trove of aquatic plants, this is one of the few aquatic botanical gardens in Japan. Visitors can enjoy various plants throughout the four seasons, and the garden boasts the largest collection of water lilies in Japan. The “Lotus Pavilion” features a greenhouse where water lilies can be admired year-round, as well as a restaurant.
