Kawami Shikizakura-no-Sato

The Obara area, famous for its Shikizakura (Four-Season Cherry Blossoms), is home to over 10,000 trees planted throughout the region. Shikizakura bloom twice a year — in spring and autumn — but they reach their full bloom especially in autumn. This allows visitors to enjoy the rare and stunning contrast of cherry blossoms against vibrant autumn leaves. The highlight of Obara Shikizakura is Kawami Shikizakura-no-Sato, where around 1,200 cherry trees cover the hillside, creating a breathtaking scene of blossoms and fall foliage.
