TOKONAME STORE

Japan, 6-70-2 Haramatsuchō, Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, 479-0832

Inside a large warehouse marked by its red roof, there are three small white huts. One is a shop that sells our original products made by local Tokoname kilns. Another offers a pottery workshop where you can create your own one-of-a-kind ceramic piece. The third is a kitchen stand hut that serves coffee. We also hold miso-making workshops using soybeans, rice malt (koji), and salt produced in Aichi Prefecture. (Workshop dates are announced on Instagram.) The crocks used in the workshop are Tokoname ware jars that have been crafted since our founding in 1967. Whether it's the traditional brown jars or our modern, flat-lid "CROCK" series, they’re perfect for making fermented foods like pickles and miso by hand.
