Souriike Plum Grove: “Waku Waku” Ume Fruit Picking

Japan, 3-101 Safuridai, Chita City, Aichi Prefecture 478-0018

In June, when the plums ripen, you can experience picking Saburi plums, designated a natural monument by Chita City, at Saburiike Plum Grove, the largest plum grove in Aichi Prefecture. Saburi plums are characterized by their strong sourness and thick flesh, making them perfect for umeboshi (pickled plums) and plum syrup. Come and participate in an exciting plum-picking event that the whole family can enjoy. Applications open during the Souriike Plum Festival (mid-February).
