Takayama Jinya Morning Market

This morning market is held every morning in two locations in Takayama city. The Takayama Jinya Morning Market was originally held as a mulberry market in the grounds of Takayama Betsuin Temple around 1820, but it is said to have subsequently moved to Yayoibashi Bridge, Nakabashi Bridge, and then to its current location in front of Takayama Jinya. You can buy Hida produce at low prices, including vegetables, fruits, rice cakes, and flowers, all grown by farmers. Additionally, interacting with the local farmers, who speak in the Hida dialect, will make for a wonderful memory of your trip.
