Nakabashi Bridge

The iconic red Nakabashi Bridge spans the Miyagawa River, which flows through the center of Takayama City. It is a symbol of Hida Takayama and offers beautiful seasonal views—cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in summer, colorful foliage in autumn, and snowy landscapes in winter. The cherry tree at the foot of the bridge serves as the official indicator for the start of cherry blossom season. The bridge is also illuminated throughout the year during different seasons, creating a magical and enchanting atmosphere.
